THE  HISTORY  OF  THE  CAE  DAI  TRUST

Sadly, on the night of December 1st 2009 the Museum, one of the Trust's main sources of income, was ravaged by fire. So severe was the blaze that the fire crews were still damping down at 05:30 the next morning. A very large number of exhibits, including cars, were lost.

An insurance payout of £200k was eventually made and in true Sparrow fashion, he decided to do it all again! With the generosity of the public and the determination of Sparrow, what you see today is the result of that decision. The Museum was re-opened in the autumn of 2015.
